COFC Stays 2 Of 3 DOD Vehicle Lease Cases

Law360, New York (March 8, 2011, 7:18 PM EST) -- A U.S. Court of Federal Claims judge Monday stayed two contract violation cases filed against the U.S. Department of Defense by Overseas Lease Group Inc. pending the outcome of a third case with a $40 million price tag.

In the first complaint to go forward — and the most recently filed — the Florida-based OLG claimed the defense department entered into a five-year contract with it to lease armored and unarmored vehicles in Afghanistan, and then systematically opted not to lease the vehicles the company made...
