State AGs Support Health Care Law At 4th Circ.

Law360, New York (March 9, 2011, 1:15 PM EST) -- Amicus curiae briefs on Monday and Tuesday flooded into the docket of the Fourth Circuit, the court hearing the appeal of a Virginia judge’s ruling that the individual mandate provision of President Barack Obama’s landmark 2010 health care law is unconstitutional.

State attorneys general from New York, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Iowa, Maryland, Oregon and Vermont filed a joint brief in support of the new health care law Monday in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
