Windex Buyer Seeks Class Cert. In Fraud Action

Law360, New York (March 9, 2011, 6:36 PM EST) -- A man accusing S.C. Johnson & Son Inc. of unlawfully promoting its Windex cleaner as environmentally friendly asked a federal court in California on Wednesday to certify a class of consumers in the case.

Wayne Koh urged Judge Ronald Whyte of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California to establish a statewide class, contending that no further evidence of S.C. Johnson’s so-called “greenwashing” fraud is needed for the case to proceed as a class action.
