Houston Medical Supplier Convicted Of $4.3M Fraud

Law360, New York (March 9, 2011, 7:14 PM EST) -- A Houston businessman accused of fraudulently billing Medicare for $4.3 million on behalf of patients who didn't need care or were already dead was convicted Monday by a federal jury in Texas on 19 counts of fraud and kickback violations.

Sunny Robinson, 42, owner of Memorial Medical Supply in Houston, was convicted of all charges against him in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas in a three-day trial that ended on March 3. His sentencing is set for May.
