GAO Denies SelectTech Protest Of $48M Air Force Bid

Law360 (March 10, 2011, 5:24 PM EST) -- In a ruling made public Thursday, the U.S. Government Accountability Office denied SelectTech Services Corp.'s bid protest in a case in which its $48 million bid for an aerospace vehicle research contract from the U.S. Air Force was not accepted.

Acting General Counsel Lynn H. Gibson ruled Dec. 23 that the U.S. General Services Administration reasonably awarded the contract to competing bidder Sierra Lobo Inc.

The GSA found that despite the higher price, Sierra Lobo's $54 million bid was correctly deemed preferable to SelectTech's $48 million...
