Storage Co. Protest Over Kuwait Contract Denied

Law360 (March 11, 2011, 4:23 PM EST) -- In a ruling made public Thursday, the U.S. Government Accountability Office denied a protest by KGL Logistics over the cancellation of the U.S. Department of Defense's solicitation for storage in Kuwait.

General Counsel Lynn H. Gibson ruled Jan 26 that the cancelation by the DOD's Defense Logistics Agency was reasonable given uncertainty about how long storage would be needed in Kuwait due to the U.S. troop drawdown in Iraq.

According to the ruling, the DOD agency's solicitation was for a one-year contract with three one-year options...
