7 Tons Of Ground Beef Recalled Over E. Coli Fears

Law360, New York (March 10, 2011, 6:56 PM EST) -- Kansas-based meat packer Creekstone Farms Premium Beef LLC is recalling 14,158 pounds of ground beef sent to 10 states after lab results confirmed a positive strain of E. coli in the product.

Creekstone — a unit of investment firm Sun Capital Partners Inc.— said the Class I recall applies to 40- and 60-pound cases of ground beef chubs, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service said Tuesday.
