Target Hit With Wage-And-Hour Suit

Law360, New York (April 23, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A purported class action has taken aim at Target Corp. for allegedly forcing its California employees to work through their meal and rest breaks.

The action, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, claims that the Minneapolis, Minn.-based retailer violated a number of wage-and-hour labor codes, including failing to provide rest and meal periods and requiring employees to work more than eight hours a day or more than 40 hours a week without overtime pay.
