NFL Fights Players' Bid To Unseal $4B Contract Suit

Law360 (March 17, 2011, 2:16 PM EDT) -- The NFL asked a Minnesota judge on Wednesday to reject a union's bid to unseal the 12,000-page record of a court fight over $4 billion in television contracts, which the league said contains confidential information.

Judge David S. Doty of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota already denied a nearly identical request from the St. Paul Pioneer Press and the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, deeming the record confidential and potentially harmful if unsealed without redaction, the NFL said.
