Senate Bill Takes Aim At SBA Contracting Fraud

Law360, New York (March 18, 2011, 5:08 PM EDT) -- A bill introduced Thursday by a bipartisan group of senators aims to stem the tide of abuses that have plagued the U.S. Small Business Administration's contracting programs, providing a comprehensive framework for fighting fraud and increasing prosecution of bad actors.

S. 633, the Small Business Contracting Fraud Prevention Act of 2011, implements numerous reforms suggested by the U.S. Government Accountability Office to combat vulnerability and abuses in the SBA's programs to help socially and economically disadvantaged small businesses.
