Samsung To Pay $32M In Display Tube Antitrust Case

Law360, New York (March 18, 2011, 6:45 PM EDT) -- Samsung SDI Co. Ltd. will pay a $32 million criminal fine to resolve a California case alleging a global conspiracy to fix prices on color display tubes used in computer monitors, U.S. antitrust officials announced Friday.

Prosecutors filed a one-count felony information against the South Korean technology company in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Friday, accusing the company of participating in the international cartel for nearly a decade.
