Black & Veatch FLSA Class Wins Initial Cert.

Law360, New York (March 21, 2011, 8:32 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Monday conditionally certified a class of workers at power plants owned by Black & Veatch Corp. who claim the company owes them overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Judge Elizabeth D. Laporte in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California ordered the company to turn over employee records and wage information and conditionally certified the suit as a collective action for the purposes of notice only.
