Spanish Broadcasters Oppose Satellite Radio Merger

Law360, New York (April 24, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Independent Spanish Broadcasters Association has added its voice to the chorus of detractors opposed to the planned merger between the only two satellite radio providers in the U.S.

ISBA board member and owner of three Colorado radio stations Zee Ferrufino said Tuesday the merger between Sirius Satellite Radio Inc. and XM Satellite Radio Holdings was a monopoly that would strangle not just competition, but diversity in programming.
