Ex-Intel Exec Admits Sharing Tips With Rajaratnam

Law360, New York (March 22, 2011, 7:03 PM EDT) -- A former Intel Corp. managing director testified Tuesday in the New York insider trading trial of Raj Rajaratnam that he gave the Galleon Group LLC founder confidential information about the technology company because they "were good friends.”

Rajiv Goel, 52, took the stand in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, marking the second alleged co-conspirator of Rajaratnam's to testify against him during the trial under a cooperation agreement with the government.
