Nonprofit Sues DOJ For Access To DeLay Probe Docs

Law360, New York (March 22, 2011, 5:48 PM EDT) -- The nonprofit group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington filed suit seeking to force the U.S. Department of Justice to hand over documents related to the government's investigation of former Republican House Majority Leader Tom DeLay.

CREW filed its complaint against the DOJ in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia under the Freedom of Information Act seeking the expedited release of records concerning the investigation of DeLay regarding illegal lobbying activities by Jack Abramoff and others.
