GAO Backs Protest Over $800M Military Tent Contract

Law360, New York (March 22, 2011, 7:16 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office on Monday sustained a tent maker's protest that the military drafted a request for proposal too narrowly for an $800 million contract.

California Industrial Facilities Resources Inc., which operates as CAMSS Shelters, convinced the GAO that the Defense Logistics Agency was wrong to demand brand names when it drafted its RFP for a tent and shelter contract.
