Investor Group Seeks Removal Of Madoff Trustee

Law360, New York (March 23, 2011, 6:28 PM EDT) -- A group of investors called Wednesday for the immediate removal of Irving Picard as the trustee overseeing the bankruptcy of Bernard L. Madoff's securities firm, saying he couldn't be trusted because of his pattern of secrecy and sweetheart deals.

The investors, led by Marsha Peshkin and represented by Becker & Poliakoff PA, filed the brief in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, in support of their Feb. 18 motion to vacate a $220 million settlement between the trustee, Irving Picard, and...
