NY Commission Won't Probe Conflict In Medicaid Panel

Law360, New York (March 25, 2011, 8:04 PM EDT) -- The New York State Commission on Public Integrity declined Friday to investigate members of Gov. Andrew Cuomo's Medicaid Redesign Team, saying there was no basis to investigate allegations from an anti-tort reform group that team members have a conflict of interest.

The commission announced the decision in a letter to the Center for Justice and Democracy, a group that sought the investigation into whether team members' affiliations with health care systems and groups violated ethics rules for public officers.
