Whirlpool Asks ITC To Probe Samsung, LG Fridges

Law360, New York (March 30, 2011, 3:35 PM EDT) -- Whirlpool Corp. asked international trade authorities Wednesday to investigate the production of bottom-mount refrigerators in South Korea and Mexico, accusing Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and LG Electronics Inc. of selling the products in the U.S. at below-market cost.

The Benton Harbor, Mich.-based company revealed the move after filing anti-dumping and countervailing duty petitions against the products with the U.S. Department of Commerce and the International Trade Commission.
