Google, Microsoft, RIM Sued Over Mapping Software IP

Law360, New York (March 30, 2011, 10:17 PM EDT) -- Google Inc., Microsoft Corp. and Research In Motion Ltd. were slapped with a suit in California Wednesday brought by a mobile mapping software developer that accused the companies of infringing its data organizing patent.

Tierravision Inc. filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, alleging the companies of selling mobile mapping products or smartphones that feature the mapping technology covered by the San Diego company's patent.
