RIM Faces New Probe Over Stock Options

Law360, New York (April 27, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Research In Motion Ltd., maker of the popular Blackberry device, has said the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Manhattan is reviewing the company’s stock options practices.

The Canadian company, already under investigation for alleged backdating abuses by U.S. and Canadian securities regulators, has announced it needs more time to file its restated financials though it has wrapped up its own review of options grants.
