Bosch Faces ERISA Action Over Plant Closure

Law360, New York (April 1, 2011, 4:30 PM EDT) -- Former employees of Robert Bosch NA lodged a proposed class action Friday alleging the auto parts company violated the Employment Retirement Income Security Act by closing a Tennessee plant to interfere with workers’ rights to future pension and health benefits.

Three named plaintiffs brought a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee on behalf of 100 former employees at Bosch’s automotive chassis brake division in Johnson City, Tenn.
