Conceptus Fired Salesman For Overbilling Report: Suit

Law360, New York (April 4, 2011, 6:53 PM EDT) -- A former Conceptus Inc. salesman accused the contraceptive maker Friday in Texas of firing him for reporting a co-worker who gave away contraceptive kits to doctors who may have overbilled Medicaid.

Conceptus fired Toby James just two weeks after he complained that his fellow salesman had offered illegal inducements to physician clients in the form of discounts and free contraceptive kits, according to a suit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
