Verizon To Pay $94M To Settle GSA Overcharge Claims

Law360 (April 5, 2011, 1:00 PM EDT) -- Verizon Communications Inc. will pay $93.5 million to resolve allegations it overcharged the U.S. General Services Administration in connection with governmentwide telecommunications contracts, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Tuesday.

The settlement, lodged in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, is a result of a joint investigation between the DOJ Civil Division's Commercial Litigation Branch, the GSA's Office of Inspector General and Office of General Counsel, and the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia.
