Defense Contractor Loses Motion For Bomb Parts Info

Law360, New York (April 6, 2011, 9:14 PM EDT) -- A Florida federal judge on Wednesday denied Kaman Precision Products Inc.’s bid for information on two bomb parts similar to those at the core of the government’s False Claims Act suit against the defense contractor, calling the evidence inadmissible.

Judge Gregory Kelly of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida ruled that Kaman's request for information comparing a pair of bomb fuze motors, called IRECO and EB200, would not produce evidence relevant to the suit, which alleges the company used similar nonconforming motors...
