Vioxx MDL Attys Want 3 Firms Backing Fee Plan KO'd

Law360, New York (April 13, 2011, 7:04 PM EDT) -- More than a dozen plaintiffs' firms fighting a $315.2 million attorneys' fee allocation in the Vioxx multidistrict litigation asked a Louisiana federal judge Monday to disqualify three firms representing lawyers who support the fees.

In a motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, the fee objectors contended the three plaintiffs' firms at issue could not represent the nonobjectors because they had a conflict of interest stemming from their work on the fee allocation committee.
