Google, Northeastern Settle Database Patent Fight

Law360, New York (April 15, 2011, 5:10 PM EDT) -- Northeastern University and Jarg Corp. on Friday settled their Texas intellectual property dispute with Google Inc. over a computer database system patent, following Google's failed bid for summary judgment.

Magistrate Judge Charles Everingham IV of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas dismissed all claims in the action at the parties' request, noting they had informed him that the dispute has been resolved. Both sides would bear their own costs and attorneys' fees, he said.
