BK Settles Class Action Over Franchise Contracts

Law360 (April 18, 2011, 6:48 PM EDT) -- Burger King Corp. said Monday that it settled a putative class action in Florida brought by franchisees claiming a requirement to sell burgers for $1 on a value menu violated franchise agreements.

Burger King and the National Franchisee Association agreed to wrap up the litigation, which was pending in Florida federal court, and the fast-food giant said it would issue a new systemwide policy for making decisions regarding its "BK Value Menu."
