Groups Fight PacifiCorp. Dams

Law360, New York (May 3, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A group of Native American tribal leaders, salmon fishermen and businessmen have joined together to formally protest two PacifiCorp. dams in northern California, which are allegedly polluting the Klamath River with toxic algae blooms.

The plaintiffs filed suit on Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against the energy company, seeking the court’s intervention in a long-standing dispute over the river’s purported contamination.
