'Happy Days' Stars Sue CBS, Paramount For $10M

Law360, New York (April 19, 2011, 10:53 PM EDT) -- CBS Studios Inc. and Paramount Pictures cheated stars of the TV show "Happy Days" out of $10 million by failing to pay them promised merchandising fees, a lawsuit filed in California on Tuesday by five former cast members alleges.

The complaint, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, claims the studios used the names, voices and likenesses of the actors to sell everything from mugs and T-shirts to DVDs and even slot machines, all without paying them as promised in their original performance contracts.
