Yankees Never Paid For Top Hat Logo, Suit Says

Law360, New York (April 19, 2011, 10:32 PM EDT) -- A woman reportedly sued the New York Yankees in federal court in New York for allegedly stealing the team's top hat logo from her uncle in 1936.

In a complaint filed Monday in the Southern District of Manhattan, Tanit Buday said that her uncle, Kenneth Timur, created the logo for the Yankees at the team's request but was never paid, according to a report from the Courthouse News Service.
