Shuttle Contractor Sues DOL Over Gender Pay Probe

Law360 (April 20, 2011, 6:17 PM EDT) -- United Space Alliance LLC, the government's primary contractor for manned space missions, sued the U.S. Department of Labor on Tuesday over an order requiring the company to submit to an investigation into gender-based wage disparity or risk debarment.

USA, a joint venture between Lockheed Martin Corp. and Boeing Co., said that initial data provided to the DOL's Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs had met the department's required standards, and that a demand for further documents and an inspection was unfair and intrusive, according to the...
