Contractor Sues DOD To Block Trade Secrets Release

Law360 (April 20, 2011, 8:49 PM EDT) -- An Afghanistan-based general contracting company filed suit against the U.S. Department of Defense in Washington on Tuesday to block the release of what it says is confidential information that could help its competitors.

Nasser Group International-Afghanistan said in its complaint that the information, which it voluntarily provided in asserting the claim for increased costs over the construction of a military base, is exempt from disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act and prohibited from being released under the Trade Secrets Act.
