Chinese Regulators OK $975M Nokia-Motorola Deal

Law360, New York (April 21, 2011, 12:19 PM EDT) -- Nokia Corp. said Thursday that its Nokia Siemens Networks USA LLC joint venture had received the go-ahead from Chinese regulatory authorities to complete a $975 million purchase of mobile network assets from Motorola Solutions Inc.

The news marked a key step forward for a merger, announced just over nine months ago, that has been delayed by unexpected legal and regulatory roadblocks.
