GSK, Scottrade Settle IP Suits Over Navy Technology

Law360, New York (April 21, 2011, 4:13 PM EDT) -- GlaxoSmithKline PLC and Scottrade Inc. became the latest defendants Tuesday to settle lawsuits in California alleging they infringed a U.S. Navy patent covering the transfer of secure information over the Internet.

Security technology company Network Signatures Inc., the exclusive licensee of the patent, had sued the two companies in California federal court, though settlement details were not disclosed in the dismissal orders signed by U.S. District Judge James V. Selna.
