Weinsteins Sue Over Rights To 'Crow' Remake

Law360 (April 21, 2011, 4:16 PM EDT) -- The Weinstein Co. LLC brought a breach of contract suit in California on Wednesday against film studio Relativity Media LLC over the distribution rights for a planned remake of the 1994 action film "The Crow."

The original version of "The Crow" was distributed by Weinstein Co. founders Bob and Harvey Weinstein at their previous company, Miramax Films. They claim in the suit that a 2009 contract with Relativity gives them worldwide distribution rights to prequels, sequels and remakes of the film.
