Inspectors Hit Shaw With OT Class Action

Law360, New York (April 21, 2011, 5:49 PM EDT) -- The Shaw Group Inc. on Tuesday was slapped with a proposed class action in New Jersey federal court accusing the Fortune 500 engineering firm of withholding overtime pay from construction inspectors.

Igor Malkovskiy and Ahmed Amer accuse Shaw and Shaw Environmental Inc. of violating the Fair Labor Standards Act and New Jersey labor law by failing to pay time-and-a-half to construction inspectors who worked more than 40 hours weekly.
