New Balance Shoe Suit Sent To Ark. State Court

Law360, New York (April 22, 2011, 3:52 PM EDT) -- A federal judge in Arkansas on Thursday remanded to state court a putative class action accusing New Balance Inc. of falsely marketing athletic shoes that purported to tone leg muscles through normal wear.

The case was originally filed in Arkansas state court, but New Balance removed the suit to federal court. The plaintiff wanted the case back in state court, and U.S. District Judge Robert T. Dawson agreed that was where it belonged.
