DOJ Wants More Info On Nasdaq's $11.3B NYSE Offer

Law360, New York (April 25, 2011, 4:15 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Justice is seeking more information from Nasdaq OMX Group Inc. about its $11.3 billion joint offer with IntercontinentalExchange Inc. to buy NYSE Euronext Inc., Nasdaq said in a regulatory filing Monday.

The DOJ's Antitrust Division requested additional information about the unsolicited proposal on Friday, two days after Nasdaq and ICE began the process of gaining regulatory approval for their counteroffer to NYSE Euronext's planned acquisition by Germany's Deutsche Boerse AG, Nasdaq said.
