YRC Settles Race Bias Class Action

Law360 (April 25, 2011, 7:49 PM EDT) -- YRC Worldwide Inc., one of the largest transportation service providers in the world, reached a settlement Monday with former employees in a putative class action in Texas alleging that the company discriminated against black workers.

Both parties filed a joint motion asking the court to dismiss with prejudice the plaintiffs' allegations that black employees endured racial epitaphs and graffiti at the workplace, dangerous physical intimidation by white co-workers and a hit list of minority employees marked for termination.
