B&N Hits Microsoft With Antitrust Claims In IP Suit

Law360, New York (April 27, 2011, 4:22 PM EDT) -- Barnes & Noble Inc. hit Microsoft Corp. with antitrust claims Monday in response to the software giant's patent infringement suits filed in the U.S. International Trade Commission and Washington federal court targeting the bookseller's Nook and Nook Color e-reader tablets.

Barnes & Noble alleges in counterclaims that the agreement to replace Nokia’s Symbian operating system with Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 OS threatens to stifle competition in the market.
