Developer Wants $80M For Allegedly Wrongful Warrant

Law360, New York (April 28, 2011, 8:44 PM EDT) -- A Fresno, Calif., developer is seeking at least $80 million in damages from the city and three public employees who allegedly violated his constitutional rights and interfered with his business relationships while investigating him for insurance fraud and payroll tax evasion.

Milton Barbis' complaint, filed April 16 in California federal court, requested general damages of $10 million and punitive damages of $10 million from each of the four defendants, along with attorneys' fees and costs.
