Ex-Hospital Exec Gets Bench Trial In Bribery Case

Law360, New York (April 29, 2011, 7:42 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge agreed Friday to sever charges against MediSys Health Network ex-CEO David P. Rosen and hold a bench trial in a case over an alleged scheme to bribe two state officials to curry favor for hospital acquisitions.

Judge Jed Rakoff granted Rosen's request to break his case off from charges filed against seven other parties, including New York state Sen. Carl Kruger and Assemblyman William Boyland Jr., in Manhattan federal court, as well as to try the case without a jury July...
