Calif. Court Revives Girardi Keese Malpractice Suit

Law360, New York (May 2, 2011, 3:23 PM EDT) -- A California appeals court on Wednesday revived a class action against Girardi Keese alleging the law firm mishandled more than $20 million in settlement money from litigation against Lockheed Martin Corp. and others over workers' exposure to toxic chemicals.

The court rejected a trial court's finding that the firm and attorney Thomas V. Girardi deserved summary judgment because named plaintiff Luis Gutierrez's claims in the underlying toxic tort were time-barred.
