Ex-Winston Lawyer Cops To Role In Starr Scheme

Law360, New York (May 2, 2011, 5:58 PM EDT) -- Former Winston & Strawn LLP partner Jonathan Bristol pled guilty Monday to helping former money manager to the rich and famous Kenneth Ira Starr launder at least $20 million stolen from clients and investors.

Speaking before a Manhattan federal judge, Bristol, 55, said he “agreed to allow another person to wire funds in and out of my attorney escrow account” for that purpose, referring to Starr, who was sentenced in March to 7 1/2 years in prison for his role in the scheme.
