Hotel Chef Cooks Up OT Action Against Blackstone

Law360, New York (May 3, 2011, 6:34 PM EDT) -- A chef at The London NYC hotel restaurant hit Blackstone Group Holdings LLC and its hospitality affiliate with a proposed collective action in New York on Monday alleging that they failed to pay him and other restaurant employees overtime wages.

In the complaint lodged by Lloyd Ambinder of Virginia & Ambinder LLP, chef Tim Roberts claims that since at least 2005, investment firm Blackstone and its resort affiliate WHM LLC have required employees to regularly work more than 40 hours per week without providing overtime pay...
