NY Appeals Court Nixes Mets Beer Seller's Bias Suit

Law360, New York (May 4, 2011, 3:44 PM EDT) -- A New York appeals court on Tuesday affirmed the dismissal of an octogenarian beer vendor's lawsuit claiming she was transferred to a less lucrative concession stand for New York Mets games because of her age.

The appeals court upheld a lower court's decision to dismiss Mildred Block's lawsuit seeking to overturn the New York City Commissioner of Human Rights' determination that there was no probable cause to believe that her employer, Aramark Sports LLC, had discriminated against her.
