Appeals Court Rules Against Casino Over Union Rally

Law360 (May 9, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An appeals court declined a petition for review filed by the Venetian Casino Resort LLC on Tuesday, after the National Labor Relations Board found the casino illegally broadcast a message warning demonstrators they were trespassing and attempted a citizen’s arrest of a union official during a rally.

But the three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit did remand the issue of whether the First Amendment protected the Venetian when it summoned the police over the demonstration.
