NY Post Can't See Starr Celebrity Victims' Records: Judge

Law360, New York (May 4, 2011, 5:15 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge on Monday rejected the New York Post’s bid to find out how much money actress Uma Thurman and another victim lost to jailed money manager Kenneth Starr’s fraud scheme.

The court in March sentenced Starr to 7 1/2 years in prison for stealing about $24 million from his celebrity clients and fraudulently investing another $9 million. Winston & Strawn LLP partner Jonathan Bristol also pled guilty to helping Starr launder at least $20 million in client funds and awaits sentencing....
