Wristband Maker Sues Kesha Over 'Tik Tok'

Law360, New York (May 5, 2011, 3:12 PM EDT) -- Wimo Labs LLC, which sells a wristband called the Tik Tok designed to hold portable music players, filed a trademark suit against pop singer Kesha on Wednesday in Illinois, seeking a ruling that Wimo's product does not infringe the name of Kesha's hit song "Tik Tok."

The suit claims that attorneys for the singer, whose full name is Kesha Sebert, sent a letter to Wimo in April, demanding that the company stop using the Tik Tok name on its product.
